My response: Unfortunately I have decided to go in a different direction. Thank you so much for your time". Clearly, that representative does not understand a phone screen goes two ways, and if you are speaking to people in a unprofessional manner you clearly need a vacation.
This has seriously happened several times now. I walk in to a line of three to four people ahead of my, there are eight people behind the counter, and somehow I don't get helped for ten to fifteen minutes. Just went in now and had one woman sweeping while a line built up and the girl at the register struggled by herself to keep up. When asked, the girl sweeping just said, "we're two people short today, sorry for the inconvenience " and kept right on sweeping in front of us. Never mind going and helping the girl behind the counter. And honestly, I've heard that excuse from the same girl and had this similar experience a few times now at this location. Very disappointed in how that location is managed. Won't go there anymore, they give zero F's here.
I responded- "I will fill out the application online, but do you have a general idea of the hours your store(s) need?"
Would get five stars, but the cashier was looking at her phone WHILE taking my order.
I asked them what doughnuts were best to dunk, and they looked at me like an idiot. What kind of employees don't know what their store is named after? Maybe it was just a bad day, I don't know. The doughnut and hot chocolate were perfect, so 4 for the food, and loose 1 for bad service.
I was seeking an additional part-time position that will work with my schedule. However, the hours I am looking for may differ from the needs of the business. When I contacted a member of human resources to determine the needs of their stores I was dismissed. The representative of SF management responded in this way- "You can fill out an application online or pick up a paper copy in our stores- If we're interested we will call you".
The representative then raised his voice and stated " I am NOT going to get into the hours. You can fill out the application, and if we're interested we will call you".
Latanya, Emily & of course the Manager AMANDA are all awesome!!! always friendly and very promt. I'm in there every morning and every time they have my Lg. iced coffee ready for me. TOP NOTCH************
If I am going to work for a company part-time, it is going to be a company that employs professionals. Individuals that can communicate without crossing the lines of professionalism, but most importantly who respects everyone in its employ including prospective candidates. Its not what you say it's how you say it.
